Amy, 38, Santa Clara, California My ideal Valentine's Day would be spent at the beach with my new boyfriend! We’d come home, put on some soft music, drink champagne, and have a picnic dinner in front of the fireplace. Of course, dessert would begin with my homemade, heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies. |

Lance, 37, Columbus, Ohio I would fly to a luxurious place in a warm and beautiful climate with the girl of my choice. Everything would be taken care of by a staff that waited on us hand and foot like we were a king and queen. |

Kari, 29, Chicago, Illinois As Valentine’s Day is for lovers, I would, of course, wish to have love -- a best-friend, soul-mate, finish-each-other’s-sentences type of love. Of course, there are so many romantic places that come to mind for an ideal Valentine’s Day, but really, any place can become the most romantic setting when you are with the person you’ve been waiting your lifetime for. Wherever you are, it’s your moment together. |

Doug, 44, Tucson, Arizona Anything huh? Anything? I would love to be traveling in Patagonia, South America with an intelligent, attractive, adventurous woman! |

Linda, 28, Houston, Texas My ideal Valentine's Day would not be a day. It would be the whole month of February. My dream month would include traveling to exotic locations around the world, staying at luxurious hotels and resorts, and being able to try new and exciting things everyday -- while enjoying each other’s company! |

Greg, 26, Fort Myers, Florida I would love to spend Valentine's day just surprising the hell out of the woman I was with for the night -- limo, flowers, expensive dinner, champagne on the beach, and lingerie waiting on the bed when we got home. |

Ross, 35, Lawrenceville, Georgia Well I hope I don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day to have an ideal date, but I would like to have it all planned out. I would pickup my date in a limo and go to diner at a restaurant that overlooks the city. Have a romantic and interesting conversation. Finish dinner with a chocolate dessert, of course. Then we would take a carriage ride through the city to a salsa club for dancing. We would finish the night with a kiss goodnight. |

Emily, 23, Henderson, Nevada I would spend my ideal Valentine’s Day in the company of someone with whom I feel comfortable being myself. We would go out to a nice dinner, have good conversation, and lots of laughs. Flowers would be a nice touch! |

Sasha, 28, San Francisco, California To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day as an organized holiday, so I'm not quite sure how to answer this one. I think it would involve a challenging conversation, a fantastic meal, and a sunny beach resort. |

Christopher, 27, Charlotte, North Carolina I would love to take a romantic cruise with a loved one for Valentine's Day. It would be great to spend the entire time being pampered with massages and fine dining and, of course, a little intimacy. |

Daniel, 26, Antioch, California Valentine's Day for me would be spent some place spectacular, like the Caribbean or Hawaii, lying on the beach in the afternoon, with a romantic picnic for two. Me and that special someone would laugh the day away as the soft breezes brush against us and festive tropical music plays in the background. We'd have an amazing meal and drink apple cider to our hearts content. Then we'd lie next to each other and gaze at the stars. Could Valentine's Day be any better?! |

Susan, 34, Atlanta, Georgia Wow, this is a tough question. I could come up with endless options. I think it depends entirely on the individual with whom I would be sharing the occasion. I wouldn’t want it to be too contrived, rather a reflection of our blended personalities. Not the Hallmark version but something more creative, unique, and perhaps a little unconventional. Imagine the possibilities. |

Ryan, 25, Santa Monica, California My ideal would be to spend a romantic evening with someone who I really care about and who felt the same way about me. The day doesn't have to be anything out of the ordinary, but the company does! A nice dinner, great scenery and flowers and chocolate are great, but if you're with the right person everyday can be Valentine's Day. |

Jacob, 26, Houston, Texas It would be an all day event beginning with waffles, bacon, and strawberries for breakfast, proceed to an afternoon at the zoo visiting the giraffes and orangutans specifically, and then an early dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy followed by the ballet and dancing. I know that sounds completely cheesy but that's me. |

Mike, 44, La Grange Park, Illinois My ideal Valentine's date would be a bed and breakfast in a small wooded town, with a fire place and the comfort of a romantic setting, First a candle lit dinner and a night cap and then a warm and enjoyable evening for the both of us and a hearty breakfast at our bed and breakfast. |

Elizabeth, 45, Batavia, Illinois I would love to spend it with someone special in a little cabin in the mountains. We'd go for a long walk in the woods, then return to the cabin, have some Champagne and hors d'oeuvres, and cuddle in front of a nice warm fire. |

Doug, 30, Atlanta, Georgia I think my ideal Valentine's Day would be a spontaneous trip with my boyfriend where we are alone and away from it all where we can relax and have a great dinner and have great choice of activities to do maybe in the mountains or a bed and breakfast. |

Julie, 38, Santa Monica, California Valentine's Day is the biggest commercial card day. I think when you love someone you love them all the time and not just extra special on this day. And it makes those who are alone and single feel bad that they don't have a special person. I would spend my ideal Valentine's Day with all my friends and that special person in my life. This day is supposed to be a day of celebration of love, so why not spend with will everyone you care about and love. |

Aubrey, 22, Wheaton, Illinois My ideal Valentine's Day would involve me and my significant other. We would be somewhere scenic, like Lake Tahoe, in the mountains in a cabin resort with a fireplace. We would have dinner, someplace to go dancing, and of course some skiing! Anything other pampering is always a plus -- couples massages, mud baths, champagne, etc. Anything romantic! |

Matthew, 31, Minneapolis, Minnesota My ideal Valentine's Day would focus on a lot of time and attention on the special someone. Rather than rush after work to go out for dinner, it would be great to take the afternoon off and meet her for a massage or spa treatment, then have a romantic dinner that night -- treat her like a princess! |

Carl, 35, Foxboro, Massachusetts I would take out this girl who I have seen here and there. First I would call her on the phone and tell here to be ready to be picked up (limousine style). I would not tell her where we are going. I then would stop at a nice designer clothing store and tell her that she is going to try on some evening wear. Then when she is looking nice we would go to the airport and fly to Miami Beach or Baja California and eat outside while we drink wine from Southern France. We later dance the night away and then, well...! |

Dawn, 29, Saint Paul, Minnesota I envision a weekend getaway with proverbial Mr. Right. Anywhere that is secluded and distant from daily disturbances so that we may be able to spoil each other -- mind, body, and soul! |

Nina, 22, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Hmmm. Well a simple red rose and surprise trip to the beach for a walk and dinner would be sweet! |

John, 35, Chicago, Illinois My ideal Valentine's Day would be actually be spent with a special someone the day before (I like surprises) and end with a toast at 12:01 on the 14th. |

Scott, 43, Cedar Park, Texas Valentine's Day is about romance, so I'd want to have a weekend for two. I really enjoy the little things that make a relationship fun, so, I'd want to plan something special for someone I really care about, and fill her day with pampering , and generally spoil her. If I could do anything, I'd take her to her favorite place in the world, I hope it would be somewhere I'd never been, so she could enjoy showing me what she loves about it, and I could watch her eyes sparkle in the telling. Sharing experiences is what brings people closer together, so I can't think of anything better. |

Megan, 24, Ann Arbor, Michigan Romance on Valentine's Day is wonderful when you're with that perfect person, but I'm still immersed in my search for that person. My ideal Valentine's Day would consist of a mix of spontaneity, good food and wine, adventure, and flirtation with a man who I find interesting and attractive. I'd love to be surprised with a weekend to someplace warm; spending the days lounging on the beach with a cocktail. We would spend the night out exploring good food and bars, and taking a midnight stroll on the beach. Of course snorkeling, parasailing, waterskiing, rock climbing or jet skiing must be on the agenda! |

Michelle, 32, Rochester, New York If I could have anything I wanted I would take a vacation with someone I loved. We would go to a romantic sunny island and go to Calypso bars and dance, kiss, and watch the sunrise and set! |

Casey, 30, Denver, Colorado I guess my ideal Valentine's Day would be a day of no decision making. I would love to be whisked away on a surprise date (dinner, play, concert, wherever!) and treated like a princess. I don't want to answer any questions or make any decisions. I want to be able to trust the person who is taking me on the date to get everything right! |

Wes, 30, Bloomington, Minnesota I suppose if I could have/do anything I wanted I'd probably fly my date (on my private jet, of course) to Italy and soak up the culture, food and wine. Add a few romantic surprises along the way and I think we would have quite a memorable experience. |

Ruth, 49, Kennesaw, Georgia The perfect Valentine's Day would be a total romantic overload! Start out with breakfast in bed, of course, with a dozen red roses. The day would be spent taking in the sights of a fabulous city -- perhaps New York or San Francisco. We would spend the evening -- dressed to the nines at a five-star restaurant and end the day drinking champagne in front of a roaring fire. |

Jessica, 26, Bordentown, New Jersey For starters you should arrive to pick me up with flowers in hand. Then we would enjoy dinner at a place you have selected and have reservations for. After dinner we would follow up with some activity, dancing, sightseeing, etc. Then we would come back home to exchange thoughtfully written cards and share dessert and wine. |
